WORSHIP
Worship is more than a song
Worship is a lifestyle. Whether we read God's word, listen to sermons, serve, work, pray, or sing songs of worship, everything we do is for an audience of One, all for His glory. And here at CUMC, we want everyone to worship God in a setting that inspires them to be equipped to live for Jesus. To that end, CUMC offers a traditional service at 8:00AM and 11:00AM, and a modern service at 9:29AM. Come and worship God in the setting that provokes you to sincere worship!
Traditional
You enjoy music on the organ or piano and special music provided by choirs, handbells, instruments, and soloists. Hymns are the way you draw near to God in a corporate setting. If this is you, then we invite you to join us for the traditional services we offer at 8:00 am and 11:00 am on Sunday mornings. The music is directed and led by our own Jeannie Wood-Kobert, who is also our primary organist and pianist. There are many opportunities to jump in and serve on various adult and children's choirs for Sunday services as well as cantatas and special events. Contact Jeannie for additional information.
Contemporary
You want to worship God in a way that is expressive. Lifting your hands and clapping is a way you communicate with God as you worship Him. Current music is the way you most relate to and understand God. If this is you, then the modern worship service is a perfect fit. Distractions aside, this worship service is in a multi-sensory setting with video, lighting and sound mixed in a way to help us focus on what matters most.
