For more information please contact the church office.
USDA Food Distribution
The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) is an organization that makes available surplus food to the needy. Here at CUMC we have been distributing food since October 2009. People of low income, receiving food stamps, have a disability or Medicaid are eligible.
The food is delivered on a Friday and volunteers from the church and community help unload the cases of food. Saturday morning, clients come in, fill out paperwork and receive their boxes of food according to how many people are living in their household. At that time, they can also pick out extra items made available each month, which varies from fresh vegetables, to frozen meats or cheeses. We are feeding close to 700 people once month. If you are interested in supporting this local mission, please contact the church office at 540-825-0764 who will put you in touch with the coordinator Marion Dykes.

Culpeper UMC had 14 members that met together from January until they left March 20, 2011 for Nashville, TN for a week of work restoring flood damaged homes. The Team specifically worked with a man who had been working by himself in order to repair his mother's home. The entire team agrees that it is awesome to work for the Lord and see lives changed as a result of being obedient to his call.

UMVIM Team Santa Cruz del Norte Cuba - our church sent a team to Cuba in December 2008 - January 2009. Our ties with Santa Cruz del Norte continue as we hosted the local pastor, Pastor Jesus Barrios in early 2009. He worshipped with us at all three services and we hope to continue this relationship in the months and years ahead.
